The problem
What stands in the way
56% of pupils in Uganda dropped out before completing primary school (PLE 2022). For a vulnerable child, leaving school early often means leaving the only path out of poverty.
The opportunity — what WENET does
Education that creates independence
Our Education Quality Program (SDG4) works with 18 partner schools to keep children learning: scholarships for 172 vulnerable students — 156 of them girls — plus learning materials, ICT and digital-literacy training, and the "Educate a Child" initiative. We strengthen the schools communities already trust.
